If your stairlift unfortunately stops working, we understand you’ll want it up and running again as soon as possible.
Within office hours (8am-5pm Mon-Fri) give us a call on 02380458444 and press option 1 for breakdowns.
Outside of office hours, you can reach an engineer on the same number, however this time you’ll have the option to speak to an engineer in your area.
Can I do anything to fix it?
Our office staff are able to run through a few basic checks over the phone, such as checking the lift is switched on or that the batteries in the controls may need replacing.
However if this doesn’t cure the problem speaking to an engineer may help. They can check that any simple issues are fixed over the phone, meaning your lift is running ready for you to use, and there is no chance of a callout fee being charged.
What information do you need?
To enable us to help you diagnose the fault with the lift, it’s good to gather the following information (if safe to do so):
- Does the stairlift show an error code at all?
- Has anything knocked the safety edges?
- Has the stairlift been beeping at all in the run up to it not working?
- Is everything switched on/have you had a power cut?
